
ALL ABOUT MARLIA YOSSIE
Marlia Yossie memulai karier sebagai reporter pada tahun 2003 di TRANS TV, tepat setelah ia lulus dari Institut Sains dan Teknologi Nasional dengan gelar Sarjana Teknik Sipil. Menjadi jurnalis adalah cita-cita terpendam yang mulai ia kejar sejak dini. Hobinya menulis, yang telah berkembang sejak masa Sekolah Dasar, menjadi fondasi utama. Semasa sekolah, Yossie selalu aktif dalam kegiatan yang berhubungan dengan jurnalistik, mulai dari menulis untuk majalah dinding saat SMP, menjadi wartawan serta menerbitkan koran sekolah di SMA, hingga tergabung dalam tim redaksi buletin kelompok pencinta alam Aesthetica-ISTN (BUAS) ketika kuliah. Kecintaannya pada dunia tulis-menulis dan petualangan sudah melekat sejak masa pelajar hingga mahasiswa.

Mengawali karier sebagai reporter di desk olahraga TRANS TV, Yossie memanfaatkan pengalaman dan prestasinya sebagai mantan atlet wushu nasional dan panjat tebing DKI Jakarta. Setelah desk olahraga, ia dipercaya bergabung dalam program dokumenter petualangan Jelajah. Program ini membawanya ke berbagai pelosok Nusantara, menjelajahi gunung, laut, hutan, hingga pulau-pulau terluar dan terpencil. Tak hanya itu, melalui program ini pula ia mendapat kesempatan meliput berbagai lokasi indah di luar negeri.
Pada tahun 2007, ketika TransCorp mengakuisisi TRANS7, Yossie dirotasi untuk bergabung di stasiun baru tersebut. Di TRANS7, ia kembali menekuni program dokumenter petualangan sebagai host sekaligus produser Jejak Petualang, sebuah program yang sangat populer di kalangan pencinta petualangan.

Tahun 2013 Yossie bergabung dengan NET menjadi bagian dari gelombang pertama para expert yang membangun stasiun televisi tersebut. Di NET, ia menginisiasi program dokumenter Indonesia Bagus, yang mengangkat keindahan alam dan budaya Indonesia. Program ini meraih sejumlah penghargaan baik di tingkat nasional maupun internasional. Yossie juga memproduksi berbagai program seperti news bulletin, talk show, hingga menangani siaran langsung berbagai peristiwa khusus (live events).

Pada tahun 2018, Yossie memutuskan untuk melanjutkan pendidikan di bidang komunikasi. Ia menempuh program Magister Manajemen Komunikasi di Universitas Indonesia dan lulus dengan predikat cum laude.​ Di luar karier profesional dan pendidikan, Yossie bersama suaminya menciptakan media multiplatform bernama Ajak Anak. Blog ini berbagi pengalaman traveling dan petualangan keluarga melalui berbagai platform seperti situs web www.ajakanak.com, Instagram @ajakanakcom, dan channel YouTube Ajak Anak TV yang kini telah memiliki lebih dari 50 ribu subscriber. Di sini, Yossie bertindak sebagai penulis utama, kreator konten, dan produser video.

Karir terakhirnya sebagai profesional, Marlia Yossie menjabat sebagai News Gathering and Operations Manager di SEA Today, sebuah saluran berita berbahasa Inggris di bawah naungan PT. Telkom dan Telkomsel. Dalam perannya, ia bertanggung jawab mengelola operasional newsroom, memimpin tim liputan, serta mengkoordinasi kontributor nasional dan internasional. Dari departemen inilah berbagai konten SEA Today diproduksi untuk kemudian dipublikasikan.

Marlia Yossie began her career as a reporter in 2003 at TRANS TV, shortly after graduating from the Institut Sains dan Teknologi Nasional with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. Becoming a journalist had always been her unspoken dream, one she pursued passionately from a young age. Her love for writing, nurtured since elementary school, became the foundation of her journey. During her school years, Yossie actively participated in journalistic activities, from writing for the school bulletin board in middle school to being a student journalist and publishing the school newspaper in high school. In college, she joined the editorial team for Aesthetica-ISTN (BUAS), a bulletin for the nature-loving community. Writing and adventure travel have always been her passions, deeply rooted since her time as a student.

Starting her career as a sports desk reporter at TRANS TV, Yossie leveraged her achievements as a former national Wushu athlete and rock-climbing athlete representing Jakarta. After covering sports, she was entrusted with the adventure documentary program Jelajah. This program took her to remote corners of Indonesia, exploring mountains, seas, forests, and even the country’s outermost and most isolated islands. Additionally, the program provided her with opportunities to document breathtaking destinations abroad.
In 2007, when TransCorp acquired TRANS7, Yossie was rotated to join the newly integrated station. At TRANS7, she continued her work in adventure documentary programs, becoming both the host and producer of Jejak Petualang, a show that gained immense popularity among adventure enthusiasts.

In 2013, Yossie joined NET as part of the first wave of experts building the newly established television station. At NET, she initiated the documentary program Indonesia Bagus, which highlighted the beauty of Indonesia’s natural landscapes and cultural heritage. This program received multiple awards at both national and international levels. In addition to producing Indonesia Bagus, Yossie also worked on various other formats, including news bulletins, talk shows, and live broadcasts of special events.

In 2018, Yossie decided to further her education in communication. She pursued a Master’s degree in Communication Management at Universitas Indonesia and graduated with cum laude honors. Outside of her professional and academic pursuits, Yossie and her husband created a multiplatform media brand called Ajak Anak. This blog documents family travel and adventure experiences, sharing them across platforms like www.ajakanak.com, Instagram @ajakanakcom, and the YouTube channel Ajak Anak TV, which now boasts over 50,000 subscribers. Within this venture, Yossie serves as the main writer, content creator, and video producer.

Her latest career, Marlia Yossie holds the position of News Gathering and Operations Manager at SEA Today, an English-language news channel under PT. Telkom and Telkomsel. In this role, she oversees newsroom operations, leads the coverage team, and coordinates with national and international contributors. From her department, SEA Today’s content is created and prepared for publication, showcasing her expertise in managing the production and distribution of high-quality news content.
